MILDURA will next week host free first-class training opportunities to help local businesses, farmers and community groups take control of their business marketing.
The training sessions include learning how to “nail your narrative” and tell people what your business is really all about, and how to deftly develop a 100-word business pitch.
The training will be held Thursday (22 July) at the Mildura Golf Resort, courtesy of Rural Business Connections.
“Training like this is so often only available in Melbourne and regional centres such as Bendigo, so it’s a great opportunity for people in Mildura to take advantage of some great training,” explained Rural Business Connections’ Dianne Johnstone.
Rural Business Connections works across a large proportion of north-western Victoria, providing access to free and low-cost training and support through small group workshops, online digital solutions and appointments with a Small Business Financial Consultant.
“We’ve recently held similar workshops in Swan Hill and in Wakool, and the feedback from participants has been amazing. People have told us they felt really welcome and able to learn so many skills, which empowers them to make their business marketing really work for them,” Dianne said.
The training sessions will be delivered by wordsmith Natalie Dowling from Words on a Page.
All training sessions will be held in line with Victoria’s COVID-19 requirements.
These training sessions are cost-free for all small businesses, farmers and community group members from Mildura, Red Cliffs, Merbein, Cullulleraine and Colignan.
